Equestrian Training Barn Inspiration
Estate owners in Florida were looking to build a state-of-the-art equestrian training barn on their property. They were inspired by photos of other elite equestrian centers and horse training barns. As seen in the inspiration photos below, the owners loved the cobblestone floor aesthetic with high end wood finishes for the stables. These design elements served key to our company being included – supplying antique granite cobbles for the project.

Detailed preparation is key to elite finished project
Experienced Brick and Stone’s involvement seems simple – supply enough granite cobblestone product to complete the floor. However, our engagement extended beyond supplying the antique stone. We worked with the contractor and owners to make sure all design and installation details were thoroughly considered for a successful installation: base depth, cobblestone thickness, rubber mat placement, etc. Our company will always put in extra time to make sure our clients are happy with the completed project. As you will see in the construction photos, thinking through these details and providing accurate dimensions was crucial to the end-product. With our experience, we were able to ensure the installers would have the proper depth across the entire floor plan so the finished barn would be free of all tripping hazards and meet the desired look of the owners.

The contractor’s installers do an incredible job with the owner’s high-end finishes: entry doors, stable gates, lighting fixtures, and the antique granite cobblestone flooring. The granite cobblestone flooring has a herringbone pattern in the main hallway and, just outside the barn doors, the use of a running bond pattern with a cobblestone edging. The mix of different installation methods result in a very aesthetically pleasing result. Overall, the contractor has done an excellent job meeting the owners expectations from their inspiration photos!
