Reclaimed Cobblestones

Canalside Red Cobblestones

Canalside Red cobblestones installed for a pathway at historic waterfront development project.

Canalside Red Cobbles

The Canalside Red cobblestones measure a nominal 9”x5”x4” thick. The thickness can be ordered to suit the application and are available in large blocks as well. The most common Canalside Red cobblestones projects include patios, plazas, walkways, and retaining walls.

The Canalside Red stone was deposited as sand dunes nearly 300 million years ago, when a shallow sea covered what is now the Central United States. The Canalside Red cobblestone is a hard, low absorptive quarzitic sandstone that has a slip-resistant natural cleft.

Looking at the cobblestone, the rough flat surface of the split is called natural cleft while the other sides of the quarried stones are split. The color range increases over time, making this reclaimed stone a perfect one-of-a-kind feature in your next project. Contact us today for more information!
